About Stanny
Stanny Shiu is a professionally trained violinist and dedicated educator with over two decades of experience in performance and teaching. She has served on the pre-college faculty at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (CCM) and the Hong Kong Academy for the Performing Arts, working with students of diverse ages and levels. Her teaching emphasizes a secure technical foundation, refined musical understanding, and confident stage presence. Her students have been accepted into distinguished university music programs and regional youth symphonies. She is committed to nurturing each student not only as a violinist, but as an expressive and thoughtful musician.
In addition to her work as an educator, Stanny has held leadership roles in international music academies and festivals across the United States and Asia. Her background in arts administration — including program development, artist management, and large-scale event direction — brings clarity, structure, and long-term vision to her studio. By integrating performance opportunities and chamber music collaboration into her teaching, she creates an environment where young musicians grow with both purpose and inspiration.
